Q: QuestionIs this a downdraft drop-in? I have a old jennair drop-in with downdraft venting that goes down one side of the oak cabinet underneath.

Q: QuestionIf my existing range with radiant cooktop has a baseboard underneath, does that guarantee the range to be a drop-in? That is the baseboard is a continuous strip under the adjacent cabinets and the range - no break.

If that does not unlock the door, run a short self-clean cycle (1-2 hours). With electronic ranges there is a small chance that turning the circuit breaker off for a few minutes and turning it back on can release the door latch. Q: QuestionI have a very old drop in GE range/oven combo. The Model# is J DS26GOT1WH - it's very hard to read. Serial# is AM353530 ( the last digit is hard to make out) Will this Electric range be the best replacement for my current counter tops.

Q: QuestionWhy does the wiring junction box have to be a minimum of 28 1/2'' down from the counter top.I would like to replace my old drop-in electric range with this new GE model but I noticed in the specs that the electric box has to be 28 1/2'' down from the counter top. My electric box is only down about 18''. I would have to have a professional electrician come in and move it down. Is this really necessary.
