A:AnswerHi Pam - While you can choose what works best for you, we recommends HE (High Efficiency) detergent be used in all of our washers (past and present models) for optimum wash performance. HE detergent works best with the lower water levels used in all modern washing machines and cleans just as well as standard detergents regardless of the machine type or age. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue

A:AnswerHi Fastforward - Thanks for choosing GE! Starting in 2015, top-load washers feature a lid lock that engages when the washer is either load-sensing (Precise Fill) before and during fill, or when it is spinning above 50 RPM (safety feature). It does not lock for the entire cycle or during the wash cycle. If the lid is locked, pausing the machine will allow you to open the lid. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi - Most inlet hoses have screens that capture debris. Also, the water connection valves on the washer have screens. If the water flow is slow and pressure is within the requirements (20 PSI - 120 PSI), you may need to check and clean the screens with a brush or toothpick. See page 24 of the Owner's Manual (page 24)- Low water flow: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90586-1.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue
A:AnswerAs far as I can tell, there are only 3 options. No deep fill, a small deep fill, or a large deep fill. I have found the small deep fill to be useless. It adds such a small additional amount that I use the large deep fill all the time.

A:AnswerHi - Yes, the Auto Soak cycle uses the soak water (does not drain). It saves time and improves cleaning capability. This option begins with a brief agitation, soaks for a specified period of time, then moves through the rest of the cycle automatically. Repeated pressing of the Soak button will scroll through 15 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour and 2 hour selections and then return back to 0 soak minutes. It also features a Warm Rinse option. Also, heating water in your home uses energy. To conserve energy, new washers are designed to limit the amount of hot water used by adding some cold water to the fill when you select HOT water. This allows the washer to fill without causing your water heater to need to replenish as much hot water, which reduces the amount of energy used by the water heater. Effective March 6, 2015: The U.S. Department of Energy revised their standards and federal guidelines for hot water energy consumption for all clothes washers. These changes affect all washer manufacturers in order to save energy and conserve resources. All manufacturers must comply with the new standards.
We are committed to meet the Federal energy standards and deliver a product that upholds GE Appliances wash performance standards. To comply with these standards, HOT water temperature selection is a mixture of hot and cold water from your household plumbing. When you select HOT, you will receive some cold water with the fill; this is normal. Additionally, new laundry detergent is formulated to work with any water temperature for wash performance. For best wash performance, we recommend, HE (high-efficiency) Detergents and Oxygen (Oxi) Detergents. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Sylvie- Thanks for choosing GE! GTW750CSLWS features SMARTDISPENSE™ TECHNOLOGY- Holds up to 75 oz. of detergent and automatically dispenses the right amount for each load. This is enough detergent for about 50 average laundry loads, depending on what dispense amount is selected. If it is desired, you can manually select the amount of
detergent for a given load. The smart dispense feature can be disabled by pressing
the Detergent Dispense button until Off is selected. When selected, SmartDispense™ senses the size of your load and will automatically add detergent to the wash, eliminating the need to add detergent for each load. A:AnswerHi Search23- The washer features Precise Fill also known as Automatic Load Sensing. This determines the correct agitate profile, agitate duration and amount of water suited to the size and type of load placed in the washer. When the lid is closed the machine is able to begin filling with water in order to sense the load size. It also features Deep Fill and Deep Rinse options. Select the Deep Fill feature for loads where extra water is needed. Press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add an incremental amount of water to the wash load. Holding the
Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible. The Deep Fill button can also be pressed after the washer has completed filling and is in the wash phase if additional
water is desired. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/CpfTCH8O-Ac?rel=0 - Matching Dryer: Electric GTD65EBSJWS / Gas GTD65GBSJWS - Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Momma- The area above the top of the stainless steel basket is plastic. Washer odors are usually caused by leaving the washer lid closed when not in use. This does not allow air to circulate and dry out the moisture remaining in the tub area. The air and moisture mixture becomes stagnant and creates an odor. When the washer is not in use, leaving the lid up/open for air circulation will help prevent odor. See the following link- TOP LOAD WASHER ODOR IN TUB: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16972 - Matching Dryer: Electric GTD65EBSJWS / Gas GTD65GBSJWS- WIFI CONNECT*

A:AnswerHi CJH58- The washer fills from the top of the basket. Each of the dispensers is timed to release at the right time during the wash cycle. Each reservoir is flushed with water to pre-dilute the product before adding it to the washer. This flushing action removes all product to help keep the compartment clean and free flowing. The washer features Automatic Load Sensing (Precise Fill).
This determines the correct agitate profile, agitate duration and amount of water suited to the size and type of load placed in the washer. The washer will not start the wash cycle or fill with water if the lid is open. When the lid is closed the machine is able to begin filling with water in order to sense the load size. Unless using Bulky Items cycle washer will not start with lid open. It will also fill with the lid open when using PreciseFill, but only once load-sensing is complete and the lid unlocks. Starting in 2015, top-load washers feature a lid lock that engages when the washer is either load-sensing before and during fill, or when it is spinning above 50 RPM. You cannot set the washer to lock for the entire cycle. Models with Precise Fill (load sensing) will lock during the load sensing period and during the spin cycle. Models without Precise Fill only lock during the spin cycle. Matching Dryer: Electric GTD65EBSJWS/Gas GTD65GBSJWS. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
