Q: QuestionMy gfw450ssm1ww front load washing machine is just over 1 year old and it does not spin on high speed when I put more than 2 t-shirts. the Shock absorbers were changed but the problem still exist. The machine says rebalancing but it never spins dry.

Q: QuestionDid anyone have an issue with the spin cycle? Mine is VERY LOUD, moves a significant amount across the floor, shakes vigorously which can be heard throughout the house... Way louder and worse than any other wash machine I've ever owned.

• A:Answer The legs are adjustable to balance the machine level on the floor. It is loud, but it doesn’t bother me. It spins everything nearly dry. If you use the quick wash cycle or the delicate cycle it will run quietly

• A:Answer Hello cindylouwhoohoo, Thanks so much for reaching out. We're terribly sorry to hear your washer is on the fritz and the door will not unlock. We know how frustrating this must be. If the washer is running, press the START/PAUSE button once. It will pause the washer and unlock the door. It will take a few seconds for the door to unlock after pressing PAUSE. Press again to restart the wash cycle. In some cycles the washer will drain first, and then unlock the door when it is paused. The washer performs automatic system checks after pressing the START button. Water will flow in 45 seconds or less. The door may lock and unlock before water flows; this is normal. Do not try to force the door open when locked (LOCKED indicator ON). This could result in damage to the washer. If this does not solve the problem, we recommend service from a GE technician. • A:Answer Nope, hinge is on the left looking at the washer. As with almost all front loaders you need to leave it open or use the washer every day to prevent mildew. The latch has two positions so it can be left open a tiny bit. We also added a fan on the back vent to help keep it dry. The newer models claim to have those drying features built-in.

Q: QuestionHow do I run a cycle with NO steam? The delicate and quick wash cycles even end up STEAMING hot even when I choose COLD water. I have never pushed the "Add Steam" to any of the cycles. The hoses are correctly installed hot to hot and cold to cold. HELP!

• A:Answer Hi Trey - Thanks for choosing GE! On this model, if the washer is paused and the cycle is not restarted within 15 minutes, the current wash cycle will be cancelled. We suggest using the Sanitize cycle to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria from fabrics. This cycle uses an increased water temperature and a longer wash cycle to provide the sanitization benefit. A pump purge and longer rinse is incorporated to remove contaminates. For best results, select the Extra Heavy soil selection. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

The shipping bolts and braces should not be removed prior to sliding the washer in place. Consult the Installation Instructions for removal of the shipping bolts: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90583-2.pdf - Also, make sure the washer is level. The washer needs to be level and sitting on a good, solid floor. If the washer is uneven, adjust the rubber leveling legs so they are all firmly touching the floor and locked in place. The more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation.
