- Answer The Water Factor (WF or iWF) is the number of gallons per cycle per cubic foot that the washer uses. The lower the water factor, the more efficient the washer is. The iWF for this model is 3. Energy Star uses Combined Energy Factor (CEF) to compare the energy efficiency of gas and electric clothes dryers in pounds per kWh. The higher the value, the more efficient the dryer is. The CEF for dryer model GFD55ESS is 3.93. -Vikki@GEAppliances

- Answer This model has a belt and pulley system where one belt runs from the motor to the tub. The same belt is used for agitating and spinning the tub.

QuestionIf you stack the dryer on top of the washer, how high are the dryer controls? It seems like they would be too high for the average person. Is there a dryer version where the controls are moved to the bottom for when the dryer is stacked above? Thank you.

- Answer The height of the units stacked is 79-1/2 inches. There is not a version of the dryer where the controls are at the bottom.

It is available during the following cycles: Delicates, Towels, Bulky, Quick, Whites, Rinse and Spin, Cold Wash, Power Clean, and certain Downloaded Cycles. - Answer You need to adjust the four feet on the bottom of the washer to get it level. It must be way out of level if it's moving around that much. Put your hands on the front two corners of the washers and try to move or rock it. You will find that it wobbles a lot if it's unlevel.
