Hello there! We appreciate your question. We found that the dimensions of your laundry room, if the units are not being stacks, would need to be 39 3/4" H x 56" W x 32" D. If you are wanting to stack the units, the dimensions would need to be 79 1/2" H x 28" W x 32" D. Since the units put side by side are 56", this may be a very tight fit in that space. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The documentation states that there does not need to be any clearance on either side, which means this can be “built in”. I have this stacked in a closet with a 30” door, and needed the clearance to “wiggle” it into place. If you’re not stacking, then you’ll have an easier time sliding them. The dimensions are accurate at 28” wide, so theoretically it will fit perfect, but keep in mind that you are assuming the floor is level and the walls are perfectly flat. Good luck, and if depth is not an issue (or price) I would recommend the 34” depth model. I have the base model, and it lacks all the “cool” features I thought was included on all models, but I don’t miss because the wife does the laundry, and she loves this pair compared to the Whirlpool Duet pair it replaced. Also consider stacking the dryer on top with the optional stacking kit. I think this is the best pair available at the moment, so do whatever it takes. Remove drywall if you have to, it will be worth it.
