Is it water proof? Should I cover it when it rains null

Unfortunately rain will not affect it. You do not need to cover it but you will regret buying it in the first place.

It's built to handle the weather so no need to cover it. In cooler weather when you don't plan on using it for a while, it might be a good idea to cover it if you are not removing it.
