The GE air conditioners do not cool the house the way GE says. Very disappointed with the product, would not recommend to anyone to buy a GE product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like you got a bad one
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Flimsy and cheap , had same problem with this air conditioner not cooling after a little more than a year , old unit was solid and worked well- would seem you can't count on GE for quality anymore, would avoid buying any GE appliances in the future and this unit shouldn't be offered up to the pulic.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and understand how frustrating this is. Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the outlet. Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Press Reset button located on the power cord plug. If the Reset button will not stay engaged, discontinue use of the air conditioner and contact BestBuy (within the first 90 days) or call GE at 866-907-1655. See written warranty on page 17 of the Use and Care Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000462.pdf - We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
