If the question is referring to model GFW850SPN0DG, then the answer is no as this washer and matching dryer have built in WIFI. You only need the GE app on your smartphone and a home WIFI network to connect the machines as well as the GENEVA voice skill on ALEXA to make it really convenient.

ConnectPlus / U+ Connect module is not required. The Laundry - GE Appliances App can be used on Apple or Android smart phones, and is available to download for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
