When you turn the knob to Rinse and Spin, the “Extra Rinse” button illuminates. Press that Extra Rinse button to turn off the rinse feature and the machine will spin without adding extra water. Here’s the title of a YouTube video we (FixThisHouse channel) created to show how this is done: “GE UltraFresh washer: GE UltraFresh Vent washer - how to Spin setting only, clothes washer“ Hope that helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Wondering, I'm with you. My last washer had a rinse and spin cycle that was infuriating. If the load was too wet when I set it, it was just as wet afterwards. Would never buy another washer that didn't have a drain only function. I downloaded the manual. It looks from page 10 like you can set a drain and spin only, though I'd be happier if a mfg. rep would confirm: "Extra Rinse This option allows for an extra rinse during a cycle to remove excess dirt and detergent from soiled loads. Press the Extra Rinse pad to select. NOTE: On Rinse & Spin cycle, a drain and spin cycle can be achieved by pressing the Extra Rinse pad until the LED is no longer illuminated."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just turn off the extra spin feature on "rinse and spin" and you'll get spin only to extract water from the clothes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that this washer spins the clothes almost dry, therefore you may not need to spin out excess water.
