• A:Answer I don’t know ; best to read the manual . Maybe it’s a safety issue . The electric burners are different than gas for sure . Maybe you can call customer service as well . Hope it’s not a lemon! The burners can get quite hot and I am not sure if your question is one that I have experienced .

• A:Answer We don't offer any locks for the oven. The JB256DMWW does offer a Lock Controls feature that locks out the control so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls. For more details, please review the "Lock Controls" section on pg. 12 of the Owner's Manual. -Don@GEAppliances

• A:Answer These new stoves seem to have a temperature sensor in the center of the burner. If that goes bad then the burner may not work. My suggestion would be to replace the burner with the older style without the sensor if you can find them. If not then replace the burner with the sensor and see if that works.

• A:Answer Hello. We appreciate your interest in this electric range, and are glad to assist. The oven temperature for this model can be adjusted in 25 degree increments, pressing the + or – pads. Regarding the temperature increments on the burners, we regrettably do not have an exact temperature range associated with each burner. It will cycle on and off, with the frequency depending on the setting. The size of the pan, food being cooked, material of the pan, etc., also make providing a temperature range difficult.
