Hi bud, Thank you for your question. You can purchase a three prong power cord for this model. This range must be installed on a 240 volt, 40 amp breaker. The KW rating for 240 volts is 13.4. Older constructions build before year 2000 typically use 208 V electric supply and as such require 3-prong electric cord. Any newer construction build after year 2001 typically use 240 V electric supply and as such require 4-prong electric cord. The reason for this is very simple - in 208 V system the Ground and the Neutral wires are the same while in 240 V system they are 2 different wires. Electric ranges and dryers have special jumper connector between Ground and Neutral terminals installed at the factory. This jumper connector must be removed when using 4-prong electric cord with 240 V electric supply. As to self cleaning amperage this depends how powerful the bake and broil elements are together. In typical range the bake element is 2,800 W and broil element is 3,500 W, so together this comes to 6,300 W and when used with 240 V electric supply draws 26 A. With 208 V electric supply the power is reduced by 25% and the draw is 22 A. Electric ranges typically use 6 gauge electric supply wires and at least 40A circuit breaker.
