How many decibels Have the unit? Is Quiet? null

I would guesstimate it to be about 4 if a lawn mower is 84

Hi Mikehp - Thanks for considering GE Model AHP12LZ. You should not expect this air conditioner to be loud. The Rotary Compressor that is in all current models is small, lightweight, quiet, smooth, and efficient. This type of compressor has fewer moving parts and works more efficiently than conventional compressors. Also, with a few exceptions, sone or decibel ratings are not available for room air conditioners They are not all rated for sound performance. Models that are will show the rating in the specifications. With residential air conditioners, sound levels are actually more dependent on installation factors than on the sound produced by the unit. The installation variables can depend on (but is not limited to): *Location of the unit (ex. attic, etc.) *Type of unit (wall or window mounted). *How it is mounted.
