Hi Gold123- The ovens are separate compartments and do not share heat. The upper oven does not vent into the lower oven. The oven is vented in the center of the backsplash area. GE double oven ranges allow you to cook two different dishes at two different temperatures at the same time. The upper oven has Bake, Broil Hi/Lo, Warm cooking modes. The lower oven has Bake, Warm, Convection Bake and Convection Roast cooking modes. For venting, check out our GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS with four-speed, 400-CFM venting fan system to quickly remove smoke, steam and odors from the cooktop to keep kitchen air fresh and clean. Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can bake at different temperatures in the upper and lower oven at the same time. The lower oven can also be used as a convection oven and the upper oven can be used as a broiler.
