  • QuestionDo you have to hook up the steam if you would rather not use it? I saw it comes with a fill tube? Does this have to be attached to water or can you just not hook it up & use the dryer without steam?

    Asked by granb.

    • Answer It comes with a Y adapter to hook it to your washer connection but you don't have to use it. It is only necessary for the steam cycle. But I would hook it up as it is a nice feature.

  • Questionjust wondering because if the prior question/answer... im guessing it does work with a 4 prong connection too..??

    Asked by lockward.

    • Answer Hi lockward - Thanks for choosing GE Model GTD84ECPNDG! Yes, you can use a UL rated 240V, 30A dryer cord with 3 or 4 prongs. The power cord is sold separately. Most electric dryer power cords are sold separately to ensure that they comply with all state and local wiring codes. These codes can vary significantly from state to state, and even, city to city. Since it is not possible to anticipate the final destination of a dryer as it leaves the assembly line. The cord type will vary according to the home's wiring (ex. 3-wire connection vs 4-wire connection).
