Hi - Thanks for choosing GE Model # GFD55ESSNWW! The amps rating at 240V is 24A (5600 Watts). This dryer should be connected to an individual branch circuit with 10 gauge copper wire minimum through a 30 amp fuse or circuit breaker. Install the clothes dryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes. Here's the link to the Installation Guide (See page 21): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000206-1.pdf - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Enjoy! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dryers typically require a 30 amp service. 10/3 is rated for 30 amps so will be fine unless your local codes say different. Dryer is stated to use 5600 watts maximum which would be 23.3 amps max. (Watts/volts = amps)
