Select "Settings" on the control touch screen, then arrow thru the pages till you see "Ice Maker." Select "Ice Maker" and toggle it On or Off. The ice cubes started being made between 12-24 hours after initial install. All this information is in the Owner's Manual that can be read online from geappliances.com Click the "Filters & Parts" tab, then scroll down to "Search Appliance Parts" box, enter your model number and you'll find what you need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the on off switch is in the settings. It doesn't make ice for 24 hrs until it gets to the right temperature. It took about 24 hrss to settle in but it works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It on the touch screen control panel - 3.5 lb per 24 hr period. First small batch about 2 hrs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You turn the icemaker on and off using the touchscreen. Go to settings, find icemaker, and you’ll see the on off function. When the fridge is first installed and cools down from room temperature, dispense a few cubes at 12 hours, a few more at 16 hours, and then the dispenser will be reasonably full in 24 hours. After that it makes ice On demand
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ON/OFF is located on the front touch screen. As I understand it it makes 3.5 lbs of ice every 24hr period - not a whole lot of ice but enough for the occational glass of water during the day its plenty. Initial purge of water in the line takes a bit of time - several pitcher full batches but it will notify you once its done. Then it'll take at least an hour to make the first small batch of ice - again - total of approx. 3.5 lbs take 24 hrs.
