Updated Solution: The cleaning mode has to be activated even for a very short time period to reset the light 1.Press and hold brew/cancel for 3 seconds it starts the cleaning mode. 2.Wait a moment for the heating element to start. No water needed 3.press Auto brew and Brew/cancel for 3 seconds. This really works! The cleaning indicator light on the display will vanish. .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried many descaling cycles with a few different descaling solutions. My "Cleaning" light still remains on. It will not turn off. The coffee seems to be fine, hot and no issues. Any idea on what I can do to get the "cleaning" light to turn off?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.C. “Clean” function: When the appliance has worked for 80 cycles cumulatively, the LCD display shows “Cleaning” to remind the user that the appliance needs to be cleaned. Hold and press the “BREW/CANCEL” key for more than 3 seconds in any status, the white indicator turns on, and the cleaning program is started, the heating elements works until the water in the water tank is boiled away, then the appliance will enter into the standby mode. The “Cleaning” shown in the LCD display can only be canceled after the descaling is finished. https://manuals.plus/_ge/drip-coffee-maker-manual/amp
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us, we're happy to help! Section C under the "Function Selection" section on page 5 of your manual will explain how to remove the "Clean" message from the display: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-9000004-2.pdf. You can also try disconnecting power to the unit for 30 seconds to clear this message. We hope this helps! - Sharon@GEA
