Hello - Thanks for reaching out, this is a really good question. After boiling away the water in the water tank, the thermostat functions and the appliance enters into the keep-warm mode. After keeping warm for 2 hours, the appliance turns off automatically. There's no way to return the coffee maker to the keep-warm mode after it shuts off.
