• A:Answer Hi Terrifrmtx - Thanks for considering GE Model GDF630PSMSS! This model has Automatic HotStart and will preheat the water. Water coming into the dishwasher may be as low as 95 degrees F and this feature will help raise the temperature to the required 120 degrees F. It actually heats the tub, spray arms, dishes, (prior to the main wash cycle) allowing proper cleaning. Once selected, approximately 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub, circulates in the tub for 5 minutes and then drains. This helps to purge cold water that may be in the line. Then another 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub and circulates for approximately 15 minutes and then drains. The heating element is on during this period, heating up the water and the tub. After this option is run, the dishwasher will automatically go into the cycle that has been selected. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

Q: QuestionIm going to purchase the GE 24" Front control Tall Tub dishwasher. I already have an existing one installed. Do I really need to purchase install kit? I have an extra hose that was never used before. Does this dishwasher have its own powercord?

Light can play a large role in how finishes are perceived. If you are worried about the Slate finish's look, we would recommend contacting a local dealer so you are able to see the finish in person. Q: QuestionMy new home came with a GE dishwasher installed model GDF630PMM6ES. It is installed under the counter with a drawer and cabinet on both sides of washer. When running the temp in these cabinets and drawers raises to 95+ degrees. What is wrong? HELP

But depending on the cycle and option combinations used, it isn’t uncommon for surrounding cabinets/countertops/drawers to feel warm after a cycle is completed. Q: Questiondoes anyone have an issue like mine i have noticed that on heated dry (not boost) just heated dry, the dishes don't get dry on the middle rack. anyone else have this issue some one said to make sure you always have the finish drying agent compartment full

Use only powder, liquid, tablet or pod (packet) detergent designed specifically for use with automatic dishwashers. Any other types of soap or detergent may cause excessive suds inside the dishwasher. This will result in a poor wash performance and can possibly cause suds and water to leak out onto your kitchen floor. It is important to use high quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. To best prevent spots on your dishes we recommend the use of a rinse aid. A high quality rinse agent such as Cascade® Platinum™ Power Dry™ Rinse Aid or Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid will help improve drying performance and prevents film and spots from forming on dishes.
