QuestionNeed to replace my 19 year old GE Profile Spacemaker XL 1800 OTR microwave. Which is the closest model you have that comes with a rack to cook more than one item at a time?

- Answer Hi Misty, thanks for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. - We think that you'll really like the following model. Search for it a see what you think: PVM9179SKSS. We hope that this helps! QuestionI want to replace my current microwave. It is mounted through 2 screws on the top (through a cabinet bottom). How does this system mount?

- Answer Hello, The top mount has 3 screws for installation. Additionally we had a previous GE microwave and had hoped to use the existing wall bracket but this microwave was slightly taller then the out going one so we had to install the new bracket which sits lower on the wall due to height difference.

QuestionThe replace filter light came on. What do I do?

- Answer Hi Stella, thanks for reaching out! If your replace filter light has come on, it would be time to replace your charcoal filter in your microwave. The red LED indicator will light every 6 months as a reminder to replace the charcoal filter. After replacing the charcoal filters, Hold the Reset Filter for 3 seconds to turn off the Red LED indicator. The charcoal filter that you would need for your unit is as follows: WB02X11550. All GE 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a standard 30" wide x 11 1/2"-12" deep (min.) cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. If you have a tile backsplash on the wall under the microwave, modifications may be required since this model is 17 5/16"H. This microwave is equipped with cooktop lighting and exhaust fan underneath for use over a range or cooktop. QuestionIs the outside of this microwave scratch resistant? I am returning a new Samsung because the control panel scratched so easily it was horrible. I am hoping this GE can be cleaned without scratching.

While the control panel is not scratch proof, we suggest cleaning the control panel, wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use cleaning sprays, large amounts of soap and water, abrasive or sharp objects on the panel as they can damage it. Some paper towels can also scratch the control panel. QuestionI have a new GE Profile pvm9005sjss and I'm trying to figure out if the control panel can be backlite. It looks like it is a feature, but I can find no way to turn it on in reading the manual. The controls are very hard to read in dim lighting.

- Answer There is a light setting under SETTINGS (4) but I couldn't see if it works because my microwave is under a skylight and it is very bright.

Our GE Profile™ Over-the-Range Oven with Advantium® Technology PSA9120SFSS has an Auto Night Light feature. You can use this feature to set the surface light to come on and go off at a certain time. Auto Night Light will turn on the surface light to the night setting, when the clock time matches the Auto Night Light on time, even if the surface light is on the bright setting.
