- Answer Hi Rainbow - Model #: JKP86S0H4SS is a built-in combination wall oven. Built-in double ovens with microwave are designed as one model and are wired together. You cannot replace just the microwave. The current models are GE Profile™ Series 27" Built-In Combination Convection Microwave/Convection Wall Oven PK7800SKSS and GE® 27" Built-In Combination Microwave/Thermal Wall Oven JK3800SHSS. - Answer Hi Steveo - While PEB7227SLSS and PES7227SLSS have the same features, PES7227SLSS is intended for countertop use only, therefore, it is not compatible with a trim kit. GE Profile™ Series 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven PEB7227SLSS is compatible with GE® Required 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX7227SLSS and GE® Required 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX7230SLSS (sold separately). - Answer Hi Pronto - Yes! When the model is manufactured, the extra number (1) is placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. This number is used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, this is used as an identifier for the specific appliance. QuestionCan I get a higher watt bulb; it is very difficult to see in the oven while it is operating.

- Answer Hi CFBSR - For safety reasons, the interior bulb is not consumer replaceable. This countertop microwave requires service to replace the interior light, if necessary. Also, it is not designed to accept a higher wattage bulb. Keep in touch! Sue

- Answer Be AWARE! I believe this microwave requires a 25” trim kit and nobody makes 25” trim kits. Before you buy any under counter microwave, check and VERIFY which trim kit will work with it! The smallest size trim kit is 26”.

- Answer Hi AV- We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience and certainly appreciate your loyalty. Trim kits are not interchangeable. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. Our current model PEB7227SLSS is compatible with GE® 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX7230SLSS. - Answer Hi Ellen, thanks for reaching out! If you're wanting a replacement for this unit, we would recommend the following: PEB7227ANDD. This new model can only be built in, not placed on a countertop. Though this unit has a dark gray body, it does have access to a Stainless Steel trim kit that can help it blend with the rest of your kitchen. Those trim kits are: 27": JX7227SLSS and 30": JX7230SLSS. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

QuestionJust unpacked countertop model and the door does not open very easily? The door opener button is very hard to push as well. Any suggestions?

- Answer Hi Suddz61 - Thanks for choosing GE! It is best to open the door by pressing the center of door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. This is normal operation for the microwave. The door has a firm spring in the door latch. If you are unable to open by pressing in the center of the latch, a service technician may be required for diagnosis. QuestionI would like to know what the replacement microwave is for a GE PEB7226SF2SS ? I also have the built in kit, and stainless trim kit for it. And also, will those (2) items fit the new replacement model?

- Answer I buy GE Microwaves to match my other appliances. I have to replace my Microwave once every 4 years. The Trim Kits always change and the changes are so major you can not make the old Trim Kit fit. Yes this is the microwave to replace the 7226 model and yes you will have to replace the Trim Kit. The worse part is that each time you have to use different mouting holes. After 15 years my cabinet is looking like swiss cheese. If you can, buy a different make and hopefully it will last longer.

QuestionI am looking to replace a ten year old GE microwave (Monogram ZE2160). It was installed with a 30" trim kit JX2127/JX2130. Would this trim kit work with GE model PEB7727SLSS?

- Answer You have to go with the trim kit the manufacture tells us to use but... The trim kit that went with out new GE profile was a bit (1/8") to small. I first thought the opening was not level etc. Then we discovered that the door of the micro when open noticeably rubs the left side of the trim kit. The only way to solve the rubbing was to cut out the plastic. You don't see it behind the stainless so it works. It as hair raising cutting out a $200 piece of plastic on the back side of the trim kit knowing I was damaging it and could not get a refund but there was no other option other than building a wood frame... Good like hope your frame fits the microwave and the space provided.
