Q: QuestionDoes this microwave allow you to turn off the turntable if necessary? Does Cook Time allow for Cooking I and Cooking II levels to be set before microwaving? Have both features on Profile over-stove model. Shoulder issues require a counter model.

• A:Answer Thanks so much for reaching out and sticking with GEA over these years. We greatly appreciate your loyalty and will be happy to help find the feature you are looking for. This microwave does not have the option to turn off the turntable. For this, we recommend model PEM31DFWW. This features a turntable button on the control panel and can be brought down to a more manageable level on the counter. Both of the possible replacements can set a power level for two consecutive coking timers at the start of a cycle. We hope this helps. - John@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionI have a very old but awesome microwave that is finally on its last leg after 20 years or so. I have the GE Monogram profile JE1860 1.8 cu ft. (along with the Trim kit 27") Is this model compatible? I would have to order another trim kit?

We offer a variety of countertop microwaves, but only select models can be installed in a cabinet for a built-in look using a trim kit. This specific model is a countertop only model and we apologize for any disappointment this may cause. - However, we would recommend the PEB7227DLBB model that offers a similar appearance and sensor cooking features and is built-in compatible! Because trim kits are model specific, the JX7227DLBB 27" trim kit will be required for its installation. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model so that the trim kit fits the microwave and provides the proper air flow that it needs. This microwave uses traditional microwave cooking technology, where power is cycled 100% on and off during cooking. We do not currently offer a microwave that uses inverter technology for cooking. Inverter technology delivers "true" microwave power levels with constant medium to low power when cooking or defrosting. Our microwaves currently only provide this technology with Defrost mode. This model is equipped with both a Weight and Time Defrost, that automatically sets the optimal defrosting time and power level! We sincerely hope that this information is helpful for you. Q: QuestionI purchased this microwave to replace a 2006 PEB7226SFISS built-in that died. It was the only one I could find that had the same dimensions. The trim kit I have (JX7227SFISS) does not work. Is there a different trim kit that would work with this model?

Q: QuestionJust got this microwave delivered but not sure whether there is a film/tight cover protection on the keypad that need to be removed before use. Try to peel it off but could not feel it and afraid to damage it, Is there really a film/tight cover or none.

This is similar to the film that would cover chrome trim parts to prevent scratching during shipping and is used for the same reason on the microwave. This is a static cling film that should peel off easily. The model number for that new unit is: PEB7227ANDD and the Stainless Steel trim kits associated with this new model are as follows: 27" JX7227SLSS and 30" JX7230SLSS. Trim kits are model specific so we would not recommend using an old trim kit with a new model. We hope that this helps and that you're staying safe. -Michael

Q: QuestionI understand the PEB7227SLSS microwave requires the JX7230SLSS trim kit. 1- Is that true? 2- What are the outside dimensions of the trim kit? 3- is it true the PEB microwave is kind of a gray not stainless steel and the trim kit is stainless steel?

Q: QuestionMany websites say the overall dimensions of Model:PES7227ELES GE microwave is 13 1/2 H X 24 W X 18/1/2 D. I have also seen 13 1/14 H x 24 1/8 W x 19 3/4 D. Which is right and can it sit on a 18/1/2 D shelf securely?

• A:Answer Hi MartyR - Thanks for considering GE Model PES7227ELES! Approximate product dimensions are 14"H x 24 1/8"W x 19 3/4"D. Measurement of the actual unit height includes the embossing at the top of the unit, which is approximately 343.8mm or 13.54 inches. Some slight variance is normal as with all manufactured products. The 14" measurement is rounded up and should not be a factor since the recommended air clearance is 3" at the top (3" both sides and 1" of clearance in the rear). The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. We apologize for any confusion.
