The previous answer isn't quite right—both the PFW870SPVRS and PFW950SPTDS models have the SmartDispense feature, which is available from the 800 series up. The main differences seem to be in price and a few additional water and wash options on the 950 series that aren't on the 850 series. It’s also possible the 950 uses Bluetooth for washer-dryer sync, which allows them to communicate without needing an internet connection, unlike the 850, which uses Wi-Fi. This feature is a minor convenience, syncing settings between the washer and dryer for a seamless laundry experience.
