QuestionActual WidthI am very interested in this oven. Specifications state the width is 31.25, is the width of the actual oven or is that the width of the cook top itself? I have a 30 inch space, which is standard so the just making sure the oven will fit....thank you!!!

QuestionHow many BTUs does this range produce and what is the recommended CFM for a range hood to be paired with this unit?

- Answer Hello SteveD - This is an electric range, and therefore we do not have BTU ratings for it. Any of our 30 inch wide range hoods will have the needed CFM's to properly vent this model. - TREY@GEA

- Answer Hello, Thank you for your question on the GE Profile Slide-in Double Oven Convection range. A telescopic Downdraft vent cannot be added to the range model PS950SFSS. They are only compatible with a 30” / 36” gas or electric cooktop. Should you have additional questions, please let us know. Donna with GE

QuestionDoes the stovetop require special cookware? Can you use enamel and cast iron?

- Answer Hi EricB- Thanks for viewing! While special cookware is not required, flat bottom pans are essential for good cooking performance since the bottom of the pan needs to touch the glass for the best heat transfer. The type of cookware you use on a radiant cooktop can affect how it performs. We recommend using medium or heavy-weight cookware. Porcelain Coated Cast Iron cookware is okay as long as the cookware is covered completely with porcelain enamel. Caution is recommended when using cast iron cookware that is not completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel, as it may scratch the glass ceramic cooktop. The oven vent is located at the rear of the cooktop so a trim kit is not necessary. The vent trim depth (front to back) is approximately 2-1/4". Our PS950SFSS is a beautiful Profile 30" slide-in double electric convection range. It does not have a built-in downdraft. It is designed to slide into a 30" wide space between your cabinets. - Answer The heating zones have a small and a large size so you can fit the size of your pot or pan. Special pans are not needed for the cooktop but they do need to be compatible with radiant glass cooktops. Aluminum, stainless steel, copper bottom or porcelain enamel on cast iron are the recommended types.
