“The detergent dispenser won't open while running a load. What can I do to fix this?”

Hi there, and thanks for reaching out. We hate to hear you’ve had an issue with the detergent dispenser not opening – we know that must be frustrating. If detergent is still in the dispenser when the load is done, the dispenser may be blocked. You may want to reposition the dishes so the water from the lower spray arm isn’t being blocked from flushing the detergent cup (and make sure nothing is clogging the holes in the spray arm). Moving tall items that may be keeping the detergent dispenser door from opening is also recommended, and no large items should be directly under the dispenser. If you’re sure the detergent dispenser isn’t opening at all and isn’t being blocked, service may be necessary; that department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737.
