“What is the difference between the 1.0 and the 2.0?”

• The ice bin is more secure on 2.0 — with double pane plastic front and plastic grab ledge for open. There isn’t a on/off button in the front of 2.0. The intake hose on the back is in a better location on 2.0. 2.0 is dark grey, rather than black. The fan vents are a slightly different configuration. 2.0 doesn’t use the bulky filter that cost $30 each. Unit 2.0 has been quieter than 1.0. Use a mixture of distilled water with tap water to avoid calcium deposits along seams of the unit. I’d like to get some special techo-thank-you from BestBuy for my insightful answers.

• The 2.0 is lighter weight. It’s WiFi capable. The control panel replaces the lighted circle. The reservoir for more water. It’s newer but is it better?
