It would barely fit lengthwise (17.5"), you would not be able to use the tray that slides under the ice maker. The ice maker isn't the quietest by any means but the constant hum it makes while producing ice is easily drowned out. The ice maker can also be put on schedule to make ice through the app and can be easily turned off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It is just under 14" wide, with the water reservoir in place and just under 17" front to back without the drip tray. I actually considered bringing in a mini fridge that I have in my garage and setting my new Opal 2 in my mud room, but ultimately decided to set it up in my laundry room. It is a bit heavy and I didn't want to have to move it far to a sink for draining. I did consider using a bucket for draining which could easily be done. As for noisy, I would say ... next to your bed when you are sleeping - noisy. In my laundry room, just off the kitchen, can't hear it from the kitchen. It only makes noise when it is making ice. Compared to the standard ice makers you find down the hall in your typical hotel or motel, this makes NO NOISE AT ALL.
