QuestionDoes it operate with reservoir or you need a water line?

QuestionIs it normal for it to squeal sooooooo loud where we can’t hear the tv or someone talking next to us when it’s defrosting? We’ve had it for 4 days and it’s squealing during the defrost mode for at least 10 min if not longer and defrosting every 2 hours?

QuestionThe metal part above the fan has a few pieces that are dented and broken, which I believe is causing it to make a rumbling noise. Is there anyway to replace that?

QuestionHow long does it take for the water to run out before you have to fill it back up

- Answer One full reservoir can make 3-4 bins of ice but if you don’t store the made ice in your freezer or use all the ready made ice left in the ice maker bin, it will melt back into the reservoir and the melted ice will remake a new batch of ice. So if you don’t use all your ice it can keep cycling from the first fill of the reservoir by constantly making ice until it’s all used up then you need to refill it. I store a few batches of made ice in my freezer and then turn off my ice maker til I run out so it doesn’t keep cycling.

- Answer Lift the side tank off and set it back down. Sometimes it’s l8ke it gets vapor locked. Mine does this too. It’s irritating, but nothing I can5 live with.

QuestionJust bought our second Opal 01 Gen SS. Makes ice good but when you open the ice bin and take a scoop of ice out, it starts pumping a stream of water down the back wall of the ice bin, melting half of what’s left. Other one didn’t do this. What’s up?

- Answer Having the same issue - jetstream of water pours into the bin every time you fill up the reservoir/unit starts making ice melting away most of the ice that remains...trying to determine if standard operating procedure...also stream behind the bin as well - which is normal.

QuestionLeft on all night but bin is not full in the morning. Still plenty of water left in the tank and it's running again. I haven't set up the app. Does it come with a built in schedule so maybe it turned off over night without me knowing?
