Q: QuestionI opened the door of my microwave (while it was running) and saw a flash. Controls are dead, circuit breaker is on. Did I Blow internal circuits? Is it cost efficient to repair or should I replace it.

Q: QuestionHi, We are doing a remodel and chose to have microwave inside our island cabinet. Accidentally bought a 1.5 cu ft built in over range one which we cannot use. Need to get one that we can install inside the island cabinet drawer space. Will this work

Q: QuestionOur microwave a GE JEB1860SM2SS just burned out. It’s mounted in a cabinet over our GE oven with a stainless steel trim kit. What is the best replacement model?

• A:Answer Hi there - Thanks for reaching out about this! We found a microwave model that we believe will make a comparable replacement. The model number is PEB7227ANDD. You'll also have to purchase a new trim kit. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model so that the trim kit fits the microwave, and provides the proper air flow that it needs. The part numbers for the 27" and 30" trim kits are 27"(JX7227SLSS) and 30"(JX7230SLSS). We hope that this helps! -Mikayla@GEA

Q: QuestionI have a GE profile 1.0 cu ft countertop microwave oven 800 watt that needs to be replaced. Installed under a cabinet in 2012. Which GE profile microwave is the replacment for this. the installed one has dimensions of 24" wide by 10 1/2"h by 12"deep.

Q: QuestionI need a microwave that will fit into a built in cabinet that measures 12 1/8"h x 23 1/2"w x 16 "d. Is there such a microwave? Once in, at these max dimensions, there will still be 1 1/2" of space on each side and 2 1/4"+ of space on top.

• A:Answer Greetings Puddin, Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. It sure can, but not with the PEM31SFSS. The PEM31SFSS microwave can be installed in 3 ways: placed on a counter-top, suspended from the underside of a cabinet using a hanging kit (to save valuable counter space) or built-in using the appropriate built-in kit (which includes above a built-in oven). It is not approved to be installed above a "range". The only microwaves we offer that are approved for installation above a range are the over-the-range models (that also operate as a vent hood as an added bonus). Keep in touch! Mike@GEA

The optional built in kits (JX827SFSS; JX830SFSS) can fit a 27" space or a 30" space. This model will fit the same cutout space as your current model. You will need to use the built in kits for this model since they are made for that model.
