QuestionHi I have a ge monogram stainless steel microwave spacesaver with dimensions 23 25/32 11 3/16 12 9/32. It is not working when door is closed there is a constant sound on. It is a countertop microwave with trim. Kit. Which ge model will fit into my space.

QuestionI have an older (~20ish years old) GE Spacemaker. It's 27" wide x 24" deep x 30" tall. I'm looking for something the same size (so it fits in the cutout), but I'd like to update to glasstop or induction - does this exist? Can't find any anywhere.. :/

QuestionI have a ge profile microwave I put in 10 years ago. The microwave works fine but the paint is falling off inside exposing the metal. Is there anything I can do about this. Should I be concerned.

- Answer Hi Klb- If the coating is actively flaking or paint is peeling anywhere inside the oven cavity we recommend to discontinue the use of the microwave and replace it. The microwave is not repairable. The cavity coating in GE Appliances microwave ovens is selected to be safely used as a food-contact surface and meets GE Appliances' and applicable government requirements for such use. No lead or other toxic materials are added to the cavity coating material used in GE Appliances microwave ovens. QuestionI have an older GE Profile JEMSF01 Spacemaker microwave. Interior R light flashing/sizzling when opened. Unplugged. Does this mean fuse is blown? Light needs replacing? Other?

- Answer Hi SDW- While we strongly recommend not using an extension cord, the interior light may flicker when the oven is in use if installed with an extension cord. Cooking times may also be longer. The microwave should be plugged into its own properly grounded, dedicated electrical outlet to prevent the flickering of the lights, blowing of a fuse or tripping of a circuit breaker. Questionthe GE Spacemaker II has gone out, JEM31SF001, and will need a replacement or repair. I was looking at the GE PEM31SFSS and it is close to the same dimensions. Does it need a 2 inch clearance on the sides as it is in a spot that is 2 ft wide?

- Answer Hi Spacemaker- Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. When installed on counter, we recommend 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. QuestionMy GE JEM31SF01 will not turn off unless I leave the door open. If I close the door it makes a horrible noise however it still heats food. Suggestions on how to fix it or is it time for a new one?
