Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications. On new products, we offer a warranty based on these specifications, so any modification may void this warranty. The water dispenser is located on the left side wall in the refrigerator section and will not interfere with food storage. Also, the icemaker is located in the rear behind the top shelf, out of the way, and the ice bucket can be used for food storage. Thanks for checking with us. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
