• Hi Mrspickle- The Normal cycle uses approximately 3.2-6.0 gallons. Water usage will vary based on turbidity (soil level). Approximately the same amount of water is used with Upper/Lower rack options, but cycle time is reduced by about a quarter of the time. Thanks for considering GE Profile! Sue
