Yes, there is the fine filter and course horseshoe shaped filter. Both are easy to check and clean.

I purchased 4 GE PROFILE appliances from Best Buy. I love them all, and have reviewed them all. If you're asking about my last review, then yes. The dishwasher sometimes needs a little TLC. There is a little basket that is designed to catch food particles, I check it routinely. This is very simple to do. Food scraps, grease, and soap scum can slow down performance and can even make it smell bad. You will receive an owners manual with every appliance you purchase. Be sure to look it over. The tips on how to best care for your appliance are helpful. A quality product can last a lifetime when properly maintained in my opinion : )). God Bless!

Hi Cleo5484- Yes, the dishwasher has 100% Filtration with Piranha Hard Food Disposer and Removable Filter. Simply twist the Ultra-Fine Filter counterclockwise and lift to remove. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage.
