The camera cannot record if it is not connected to WIFI, and videos are encrypted so recorded videos can be viewed in the playback in the Geeni app on the phone only. QuestionI have the b white 720p already I'm use I am trying to hook up a black one and waiting for the light to flash.onlyy blinks certainly every now and then.Hi× lo g does it take? Making a weird buzzing soundcevery few seconds.

- Answer If it was "all set up" then you would have a working camera. Theres a few requirements to get the camera set up. #1 ,you must have wifi #2 , the physical device to connect to wifi #downloading the app,that can connect the physical device to your wifi, last but not least ,YOU have to open the app and follow the directions on how to set up your device . And if you see icons within the app,those icons are buttons and when you press them they do stuff. They can be helpful when you use them, even if you are shy and fearful of them.

QuestionGeeni Glimpse Indoor cam. I would like to know if this camera can be disabled in some way when I'm home (besides unplugging it), I don't want a hacker looking at every thing I do inside my house, I only need it working when I am at work or away from home.

QuestionDoes the camera have light detection, I mean I have it in a grow tent, and am wondering if it would notify me if my light timer malfunctioned and the lights came on when they aren't supposed to would it let me know ,Thanks

- Answer I don’t believe there is a “light detection” setting which would trigger an alarm/notification. With mine however, if I have the motion detection alerts/notifications on, and remotely turn off that room’s light (no motion other than the light turning off), I will receive an alert to my phone indicating that motion was detected. I hope this helps.

- Answer Geenie wifi cams only record video too SD cards or a cloud service, these cannot be connected too a DVR via WiFi or a computer network for monitoring only by phone app.
