• The LB4100 is 30V and 254NM. It does not produce ozone. The UV rays are contained inside of the unit so you do not have direct exposure.

• If it produces ozone, it is unnoticeable. I cannot smell any ozone in the air when using the UV lamp. The UV light is contained inside the unit, this is NOT radiation in the sense of rads that you would detect with a Geiger counter, it is merely light. The specific wavelength of UV-C light disrupts the cellular makeup of living tissue and germs are super sensitive to UV light. This is similar to a tanning bed although tanning beds use UV-B wavelengths which are less prone to causing skin cancer. Suggested reading: https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet
