Had the same problem, eventually figured out that holding the timer button and either uv or speed button down at the same time for a few seconds got it working but not permanently fixed. Have to play around with the buttons each time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is how I fixed mine. Plug it into a surge protector and trip the surge protector by pressing the reset button while the unit is running. What cased it to get stuck was my breaker tripping from using a hair dryer and vacuum at the same time while the unit was on. After that happened it was stuck at the highest speed. Maybe turning it off causes the board to get confused. Sounds weird but that fixed it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this issue for some time and solved it, possibly by luck. The first thing I suggest is unplugging the device for 24 hours with the rear cover and filter removed, as there is a safety interlock switch in the back that will prevent the unit from powering on. If that doesn't work. Here is what I did.... Tools needed: I used and impact wrench with 7 or so inch long phillips and torx bits. You will need long and thin bits for this repair, otherwise the screws won't be accessible. Before doing this repair, take a look at the screw holes and take note of how deep they are... Below is a link to the kit I used, with an small impact. There is also an image of the tool kit, in the pics. You could use this long bit set with a hand bit driver screw driver set also and place these long bits into the female end of your hand screw drive bit driver. Remove 2 phillips head screws in the base, they thread in toward the front of the unit. Remove 2 phillips screws in the middle of the unit, accessible with the filter and rear cover removed. Remove 2 phillips screws in the top of the unit near the screen. These are seen with the rear cover removed. 3. Now, on the right and left sides... there are 2 total and 1 on each side: a torx security bit that needs removed. Note, that these are a star bits with a hole in the center. You can google these and they will come up. I have these for other small repairs. But most may not have them, they are an odd tool to have. 4. Now open the case. Remove the small black box at the top. Check all the harness and wire connections... the blue circles in the images uploaded are the same harness... Make sure all of them are seated correctly... I took out the board and inspected the capacitors and resistors. I also checked for burn marks on the board and did not find any. I don't think this step is needed. I think this issue is caused by power surges or breakers tripping or the unit falling over and having a loose contact. 5. After reseating all the hardnesses, put the screws back in. I did this is reverse order. I skipped the security torx bits, as they are not needed and are likely there for safety and to prevent DIY repairs. 6. After, its all back together with filter and case reinstalled. Plug in the unit and turn it on. After reseating the wires, as mentioned above. My unit started working normally. All fan speeds work and the UV light and timer work as well. Before doing this, only the on and off button worked and it was stuck at speed 5. Super annoying because the unit is loud at that speed. Good luck. The entire DIY here took me about 30 minutes. I thought it was worth while, as I did not want to throw the unit away over such a small issue. Its back to being operational. Good luck...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Please try unplugging the unit for 30 minutes to 1 hour and then plug it directly back into a wall outlet. If you continue to have trouble please contact customer support at [email protected].
