Yes especially if you use google chrome browser there should be an option to cast certain content like YouTube. A cast symbol will show in the top right corner of the browser.

No you attach it to your TV and then go to the iTunes store and download the Chromecast app. The you use safari (or preferably Chrome which you can download to your Mac) to go to youtubetv. Pick the show you want to watch and when it starts playing you will see the cast icon in the upper right corner. Click on it and it will switch to your tv.if you are doing anything else other than YouTube TV you will have to download some other casting program.
