Does Chromecast stream Amazon Prime? null

No, chromecast does not stream amazon prime directly from the app such as youtube or netflix. But you can stream amazon prime by streaming the Google chrome tab on your laptop or pc. Not sure if quality is any good if done that way but you can try and see for yourself.

I have not found an official app or extension similar to Netflix, or Youtube where you can directly cast the video to your TV but you can load Amazon Prime video player from your Chrome browser on your PC. Play the video, then click the blue ‘cast’ icon on the upper right of your screen. This won't work on a phone or tablet running the mobile versions of Chrome.

You can chrome anything from your device to your tv. It's really easy.

If you go to Google playstore.... Click Apps -->Categories--> Choose Google Cast There will be a list all the offiacial app that can be used with Chromecaast

If you can watch it in a chrome browser or on an android device, you can stream it to chromecast.

The Chromecast does not stream Amazon prime as Amazon has not released an app for non Kindle devices to date. The kindle app does not work with the Chromecast yet either.

I am NOT tech savvy so My opinion is to spend the extra few bucks and get a Roku Streaming stick. Has over a thousand apps available right out of the box, Amazon Prime amongst them.
