• There should not be any problem casting from a smartphone or Chromebook. Just follow the setup instructions carefully. Don't assume you know how it works. I recently set up HBO Max on an iPhone to cast to an older Samsung TV. It worked without any problem.

• Yes, from an Android phone. Have not tried Apple. Probably from the Chromebook too, as it is a Google device.

• The Spectrum TV app is not included on the list of Cast-enabled apps. If you're using an Android device, you may be able to mirror your phone screen to the Chromecast to watch content. You can also cast a Chrome tab or computer screen to the Chromecast using your Chromebook.
