They claim that under normal use the battery should last about a month. Charging from zero to full should take about 5 hours. And YES, the battery 'meter' is very large and clearly seen in the Google Home App.

The Google Home app shows you how much time you have left until your battery will need to be charged, and the app will also notify you once the camera needs to charge. Simply remove it from the magnetic mount or stand and charge it using the USB-C charging cable. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on how much of a charge it has upon arrival mine came with 92%. But my instillation is out of the weather so not a problem disconnecting it from the magnetic mount and charging it.
