It might be in 'Night Vision' mode so the camera is using the built in inferred LEDs, either take it out of a dark room or turn off the auto 'Night Vision' setting to off. To turn it off go to the cameras settings (gear in the top left) and go down to Night Vision and slide it to the off position.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine switches back and forth depending on the amount of light in the room. When the lights in the room are on I have color, and at night it’s black and white. I don’t know if that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nest Cam going from color to black and white is the night vision feature. Night Vision lets you keep an eye on things, in low light and in the dark. Video will be in black and white whenever Night Vision is on. You can turn this off through the nest app if you don't want to have the Nest Cam go to black and white. It can be changed by going to the Nest app, then going to Settings>Night Vision and set it to off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The nest cam night vision relys on natrual light to go from night vision to day time mode. No amount of lights in the house will trigger the modes other wise. Mine typically goes into night vision after dusk till dawn... Hope this helps.
