The main reason I have nest cameras is to keep an eye on my house when I am away. What good Are they if they have to be physically reset? This involves someone being present to do this! So much for security! I don’t need to get notifications when I am there! Thanks a lot Nest!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue here. My workaround was to plug the camera into a controlled outlet. I then cycle the outlet off and on after a power outage. Super annoying, but it seems to consistently work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my experience 2 times now during a power outage they did NOT come back on line. Nest support only offered 2 suggestions, first was to turn off the camera and turn back on in the iOS app ( that didn't work ). Second was to physically unplug the camera and plug back in, but of course that is not an option if you are not there. Note even when I'm not home, I knew when the power/internet was back up the camera was not coming online because I have other Smart devices and they came online, but the camera never comes back online. The only solution I have found is to unplug it and plug back in to do a reboot when I get back home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue here. And it's not even a power outage, short breaks in Starlink internet will cause the cam to go offline. I have a fixes IP with my own router. Still, I have to physically reboot it, so it connects. Wyze smart plug is my way of "fixing" it. Still very annoying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nest Cams are designed to reconnect to the network they've been set up with once the connection is restored, so it's unexpected to hear that these haven't come back online. At this time, in order to reconnect a Nest that is not connecting properly, you would need to be at the physical location.
