• A:Answer Not sure if this helps or not, but I’ve never had a more informative tutorial of how to install something I’ve never installed before. My chime and transformer had went out, that’s when I decided to upgrade but had to replace both. I can’t speak for the customer service side of it because I never had to call but my best guess would be that people probably get frustrated with the install and take it out on customer service like we all do. Especially if they don’t have the correct chime and/or transformer, but it walks you through the tutorial perfectly to make sure you do. The only issue I had was with connecting to Wifi at first. I have 2 routers and 3 google wifi pods and it struggled at first to get connected, but once it did, it’s never stopped. So most people probably don’t have the correct equipment to support this and get frustrated with the tech support because they don’t have the proper equipment or bandwidth.

• A:Answer Go online to nest or just call them. The first one installed I just used internet instruction on website. The second was a little more difficult but they were able to walk me through with ease. You definitely do not need a professional to install.

• A:Answer Depending on when your house was built, it might not be a problem. However, I strongly recommend finding it because the install process asks what your transformer specifications are which should be imprinted on the transformer. The transformer is usually in a garage. Not sure that helps.

• A:Answer No, the Hello does not have a wireless option. There is a power adapter you can purchase from the google store if you don't have an existing doorbell or don't want to use it. It would require you to drill through the exterior and have a place to plug the adapter into power.
