No, You can replace one at a time it will not effect the T stat in any way as they are separate zones. I purchase and installed mine one at a time to make sure I was happy with the product and the cost.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to install just one on the downstairs zone while the upstairs zone still runs my old programmable thermostat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It really is going to depend on the Zone control box you have and how it uses the signals from the thermostats. If you have a variety of Honeywell Zone panels it should work, check forums online with your specific model of Zone control board. DuraZone boards do not work with the Nest. I switched mine with a Honeywell HZ311. You can then have a mix or all the same thermostat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you need to get one per location if they are independent HVAC systems. But then you can manage all 3 from one nest account, that would be expensive though but worth it. I would check with your HVAC vendor to get the correct info before investing in one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We initially replaced just one of our 2 thermostats and it worked fine for that zone. We ended up eventually replacing the second just to give us the benefits of dual zone smart thermostats to work better synergistically
