Learning thermostat and E thermostat learning has a glass screen the only difference is that it learns the times and temperature when you are in the house but is useless I has the same question too... and decided to buy the E thermostat and saved 100 buck and bought my sensos with that money instead they were very useful so far I love my thermostat...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't turn on my thermostat that much as I live in the San Diego area, so learning for me is no big deal. I just like the look of the frosted one. Plus I saved $75 from the SDG&E program for instant savings. No brainer. So easy to install too.

Please try again later.Aside from the design of the display, the Nest Thermostat E is designed with less terminals on the base plate, so it's not compatible with as many systems as the Nest Learning Thermostat.
