The Nest Thermostat E does have a safety temperature which is set to 40 degrees by default. This means the Nest E would always kick the heat on if the temperature drops below 40 degrees. This can be turned down to as low as 35 degrees, or you could completely turn the safety temperature off. Full details here: https://nest.com/support/article/How-do-Safety-Temperatures-work The operating temperature of the Nest Thermostat E is 32° to 104°F and is rated for indoor use only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This should work since you have the ability to use your app to keep the system off. You would just turn the system on with your app to a designated temp & it will show you how many hours it would take to heat to that temp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The minimum ECO temp is 40f. However, you can set a minimum 'safety temp' down to 35, which will turn heat on at 35 even if stat is set to off. -or- you can turn off 'safety temp' as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a low temp setting that is defaulted at 40 but you can turn the feature off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The lowest it will go is 50 degrees. But you can turn it on and off from your phone with WiFi so you might accomplish the same goal by doing that.
