The previous answer is wrong and it will work with T-Mobile right out of the box as Verizon no longer locks their phones. Verizon does use cdma technology, but the pixel has both cdma and gsm technologies.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this will work on T-Mobile. I called both Google and T-Mobile before purchasing this phone from Best Buy. Best Buy has a contract with Verizon, so they can't officially say that it will work with other carriers, and it comes with a Verizon sim, but it's the same unlocked phone that you buy from the Google store. I bought the phone, took the sim out of my Nexus 6P and placed it in the Pixel 2, and was good to go from there. No further action required.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The latter answer is correct but just for informative purposes you must by the phone out before switching carriers with it. So either buy it outright up front "unlocked" or buy through Verizon then once it's paid off then switch carriers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just called BB near me. They do have the Pixel 2s in stock but said it is only for Verizon. I said isn't the phone unlocked and she repeated, No, it can only be used with Verizon. So...that sounded definite.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it is locked to Verizon. Also, Verizon uses CDMA phones and T-Mobile GSM.
