• A:Answer This is what I did, and it worked for me. That said, I had to connect it to wifi for a while before the sim card activated. It did not activate until I was fully through the setup and starting updating all the apps (on wifi).

• A:Answer No. The terms state that the discount applies to activation of a new account or a new line. Purchasing the phone as an upgrade on an existing line will not receive a discount.

• A:Answer Per gsmarena.com, there is no headphone jack. The headphone jacks are getting pretty rare nowadays. https://www.gsmarena.com/google_pixel_8a-12937.php Google did sell a USB-C to headphone dongle, but I don't see it on their store now. Best Buy sells Samsung and Apple USB-C to audio dongles for about $10, but I don't know if they are compatible with the Pixel.

• A:Answer My cell phone company US Cellular actually helped me to get my text messages to be received by my phone. The representatives spent a significant amount of time trying to diagnose the problem, And eventually it only needed the sim card to be removed and reinserted to correct the problem. I also buy unlocked phones from places like Best Buy and put a good case on it and a screen protector. Don't bother to give a cell phone carrier a significant amount of money for insurance. Save yourself even more money than buying your phone from your carrier and being locked into their plans!

• A:Answer Yes, we have a Pixel 7a and a Pixel 8a on Consumer Cellular. Both are using e-Sim instead of a traditional Sim card. We were able to complete the setup before we left Best Buy.
