Yes it does.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you asked two separate questions there... First, yes, it will connect to a Pixel smartphone. It actually has a feature that allows for 'instant tethering' when the tablet does not detect a network connection it will look for the PIxel and ask to use its connection to gain network access. You could use that for email and for transferring pictures and if you are using the same Google account across all the devices then they will sync and have the same data across all of them.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, when your phone and your Pixel Slate are logged in on Chrome browser with the same Google account, email and photos will sync.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, absolutely, just use the same google account for Google Photos and Gmail. And also for other google apps and services, everything is synced with your google account.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Slate automatically connects to my Pixel phone. So, you can set it up such that if you use your fingerprint to unlock your Pixel phone, the Slate will unlock as well. The Slate also automatically connects to the Pixel phone's data if you want. Photos are automatically available on the Slate, but they are automatically available on any device that can connect to Google photos, such as a Windows computer, so that is nothing new. The same goes for email.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should connect fine and you will be able to text from tablet. Mine connected to Samsung note 8. I am returning the slate though as is like 90% of the people because nothing else works, can't play games, tablets freeze up all the time. Google really messed up this time!
