This watch is great. LTE can make/take phone calls as long as you have it connected to your Phone's plan. I use it as a running watch and it's a huge safety benefit for my family to be able to contact me or for me to call if I have an emergency, even if I'm not carrying my phone.

Yes you can. I use Google Fi service for this.
